Comment: Dok Gaew is without doubt the finest form of traditional Thai Mudmee silk. Only capable of being woven by master weavers, it has an incomparable depth and sheen. The subtle yet intricate patterns blend beautifully into the single colour fabric.
Mudmee is regarded as the “Queen of Thai Silk” because of its intricate patterns. In Thai historical times it was the cloth reserved for royalty and the nobility. These silks are a favourite of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand.
