This video was published on Apr 17, 2012 by Tourism of Thailand and as it’s our home region we wanted to share it with you.

Thai Silk Magic is not a travel agent but we do enthusiastically support the promotions by the Tourism of Thailand organisation.

So we hope you enjoy your little tour around our “up country” part of Thailand.

Please don’t forget to leave your comments below and tell us what you think of our remote part of the world.

The northeastern region of Thailand is a vast plateau which boasts an abundance of historical sites that tell its prosperous history.

With a history that combines Thai, Laos and Cambodia, this “up country” part of Thailand has a very long history.

The historical attractions include many old Khmer temples and Pha Taem National Park.

Besides the rich and exotic culture, the region offers a huge number of strikingly marvelous natural attractions such as strange stone formation in Phu Pha Toeb and various islets in Mekong River.

All has impressed millions of tourists from around the world.

However, very few, if any tourists make it to our remote part of Isaan.

Thai Silk Magic is located in a very small village about 20km from the nearest city called Si Sa Ket and we are about 50km from both the Laos and Cambodian borders. We are a rice growing and Thai silk making region – in fact Si Sa Ket is the home of the Thai Silkworm industry.

So we are not exactly on the tourist path but we always have a warm welcome for our visitors.!
