This lovely fabric actually resulted from a mistake. The "Olivine Green" colour came from removing the natural dye solution of wild grasses and wood chips far too early from the heating dye pot. Huge winds were starting to blow and we wanted to get everything under cover as quite often here in the dry season just before the monsoon rains, the air is very dusty - and we wanted to avoid that with our dye materials. So we emptied the solution into another pot to take inside quickly and instead of a dark forest green effect, "Olivine Green" was the result. We were lucky as this 100% colour-fast result is superb even though we only have a limited supply available. We also made sure we recorded all the specific dye process/timing details so that maybe we can try and create something similar next time.

Suitable for men or women smart casual to semi-formal outfits. This slightly heavier 3-ply fabric falls beautifully and softly but is also very durable. It is a high quality casual clothes fabric that has a multiplicity of possibilities. Other possible uses of this superb "mistake fabric" include a small drap, tablecloth, shawl or even a lamp shade.
