One of our latest creations this beautiful Lilac colour fabric would be perfect for casual, cocktail and evening dresses. Could also be used for a fantastic mother-of-the-bride dress, for skirts, pants, trousers or even kimonos.

The colours for French Lilac  came from timber of the Gair tree and the materials were boiled in rain water for 6 hours before being mixed with bush oysters that had been cooked over a fire for 3 hours then allowed to cool before being crushed. Combining then together was the tricky part to make sure the colours completely meshed together and this took another 5 hours of gradual heating and constant stirring to achieve a magnificent final colour.

This particular fabric has a satin-like appearance with shiny and dull sides and was created in a medium weight 4 ply weave by khun Too-ee, one of our most highly respected weavers.
