This fabric has magnificent patterns woven into the single colour by one of our master weavers. The colour of this particular fabric was obtained from a combination of local vegetable leaves and tree barks. The weaving of this fabric requires great skills but the end result of the natural dyes and weaving skills is the "Burnt Orange Dok Gaew" fabric we have for you today.

Mudmee is regarded as the "Queen of Thai Silk" because of its intricate patterns. In Thai historical times it was the cloth reserved for royalty and the nobility. These silks are a favourite of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand.
